The City of Modesto is testing an automated parking system in the following parking lot locations:
- Centre Plaza
- Flat lot on the corner of 9th and I Streets
- Flat lot on 9th Street between Skewers and McDonalds
This system will be permanently installed in all City operated garages and parking lots.
Here's How The System Works:
- Enter the parking lot and find an empty space – be sure to note the parking space number painted on the ground.
- Enter your three digit parking space number.
- Make a payment by inserting bills or coins. If paying with a credit card, insert card as indicated on the machine and
press the $1 or $5 button to specify the amount of time you want to park in the space.
NOTE: Pressing the $1 or $5 buttons multiple times will increase the amount of time you will be allowed
to park, resulting in a larger purchase.
- After you have paid for the amount of time you want, press OK and your receipt will print.**
- KEEP YOUR RECEIPT!
CAUTION: Adding time to a previously paid space prior to expiration will void all previously paid time. Money
will be refunded at 121 Elm Street the following business day.
**Transactions will cancel if not completed in 30 seconds.
