To become a City of Modesto volunteer, a Volunteer Application and Waiver must be turned in to Heather Grigsby, Volunteer Coordinator with the City of Modesto Parks, Recreation and Neighborhoods Department.  Print the appropriate forms, complete all of the information and provide your signature where necessary.

Partners In Paint

Partners In Paint is a community education program developed by Councilmember Dave Lopez as a graffiti abatement tool for the City of Modesto.  The program is dedicated to raising awareness about the harmful effects of graffiti vandalism on communities.

Volunteer to paint graffiti out of our city.  Graffiti Paint Outs occur once a month, March-October.

To participate in a Graffiti Paint Out or for more information, visit www.partnersinpaint.org.

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities

In addition to many special volunteer opportunities, the Parks, Recreation and Neighborhoods Department offers the following ongoing volunteer opportunities.  These projects foster community ownership of parks and facilities and often expedite the development of projects that are not provided for in the annual budget.
