Biography
Councilman Dave Lopez is currently serving his second term on the Modesto City Council. A Modesto
High School graduate, Dave was raised in Modesto and served the community prior to his election as
Chairman of both the Library Advisory Board and Community Qualities Forum.
As a homeowner, the Councilman is focused on economic development to create good paying jobs and
protecting the public safety by fighting crime and being adequately prepared for emergencies. He has
been a strong voice for protecting the quality of life for Modesto's families.
The Councilman is a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and Kiwanis
and works for Alpha Numeric downtown. An avid chess player, at nine years of age, Dave was crowned
city champion.
He is married to his wife Sheri and has three children, Josh, Boyd and Desi.
