The City of Modesto Zoning Code is contained within the Municipal
Code as "Title 10". The Zoning Code sets forth the allowed land uses,
site development standards, parking requirements, signage, and other
regulatory provisions associated with each zoning district.
The purpose of the Zoning Code is to guide development throughout the City,
in order to help ensure quality of the built environment and compatibility
among neighboring / nearby properties and land uses. Modesto’s Zoning Code
